Patcher problem

Maybe one of you AO vets can help me here.

Im trying to install the AO client, and have gotten to the part where it says " getting mapfile "

but then nothing happens, it just stay there, i tried to restart my computer, and restart the patcher, but same thing happens.'

any suggestions ?

    I'd be interested to know too, as I had the same issue..it might be vista, if you're running that(I am). I could get the client, but can't patch, and I've spent hours trying..no luck.

    Have you tried letting the patcher run overnight or something of the sort? I can remember that stage taking a little longer than expected for me. Make sure your antivirus/firewall isn't causing any interference either.

    Search for the solution from the AO official forum, not here.
