My download just finished about 15 mins ago and is installing as we speak. Takes absolutely ages to install...
only took me a couple minutes.. *shrug*
I can confirm this is in effect... go to your account and upgrade to Early Access NOW!!!!

I was up in the air about this game, but pre-ordered anyway. After the open beta and this latest mess that Funcom created, I'm cancelling my preorder for the CE from Amazon.
If anyone still needs one, there should be one available in about 5 minutes.

omg i just called gamespot, because i havent gotten my key yet. they say it takes 24hrs... i ordered yesterday... oh please send me the key while this window is open!!!!

I just finished installing and patching the game. All ready for the 17th. Woo!
What a bunch of freaking hustlers.
I preorderd several months ago and received my key today and now i can't even gain pre acces even if the letter says so.
People are put into jail for less in other countries.

Heh, and even if you have the key and all... you may end up getting ganked by the billing system instead... sitting for days in the pending denied resubmit pending denied resubmit pending cycle while getting no response from support

Maybe an idea on part of the reasoning for this. I talked to a manager at the local gamestop last night about the Age of Conan release and early start, and he said that they hadn't even received their keys from corporate for the pre-orders had taken. Said they were still waiting for them. There are 3 gamestops in the suburb area where I live so I asked about the other stores. He said it was the same deal there. He said that they don't send the pre-orderer's information or anything to corporate, just a number for the number of pre-orders they have taken. So all the customers who had pre-ordered at the gamestops near me with the promise that they would get keys for early access, have yet to get them and could not have registered.
In my memory, this is the first time a company has offered something like this with a pre-order. I thnk there was just a lack of communication from Funcom to their distribution chain about how "limited" these early access keys were. They should have either A) allotted a certain number of keys to each retailer or
set a cutoff date for when the early access keys would be given with pre-orders. Either of those solutions would have made this situation more transparent for all involved.
I don't know, went pretty smooth for me. I pre-ordered from EBGames near me on May 9th or so , got the card with the serial for the war mammoth, set up my account and clicked to pay for early access. Got the email on May 12th, finished downloading May 13th. Installed and patched earlier today.
Glad they're giving you guys another chance to get in early.

How can you guys be so blind to blame funcom, when they had no way to change how this happend. They even reopened their early access registration so you guys could get another chance because you guys got screwed over by a supplier.

you know what's ironic, if this game had anything to do with SOE or CCP, people would be screaming bloody murder. Why are the same people now so lax and forgiving for a company which has had one horrid launch for a game? Curiousity will kill this cat someday lol......

ehhh i dont see anywhere on the register.ageofconan.com where it says early access program...i received my key from GoGamer on april 25th but i was going to the wrong website to register it at. i was going to betaregister.ageofconan.com ...so anyways today i make my account with the key i got (btw, i have at least 3 accounts with funcom, i wish they would just combine them because they are basically duplicate accounts with different usernames) and under my subscription details it says:
