Hi I recently decided to return to ffxi and have a few questions.
I have a good PC and an xbox 360. Will my account work with both? Say I want to play on 360 one day, and PC the next.
Also, are the graphics on the 360 better than the ps2? I know the game looked horrible on ps2.
Any info is appreciated.

Yes can use your account on both platforms.
Graphics are the best on 360.

Oh now i would have to disagree that ffxi looks better on 360 over PC. It would all have to depend on your PC and the setting you have on your pc. My friend plays on both and his he would tell you that it looks better on his pc but his pc is a pretty decent rig. The thing is he says it is really cool to play ffxi on a big screen. So if you got a 42"+ hdtv i might recommend that cause it would just be cool. I'm gonna put my economic stymulas to good use and buy a 42" 1080p tv that I can hook my pc up to this month i think. Gonna be awesome sitting back in my recliner playing ffxi on that nice big sreen
Heh I have a 42" LCD 1080P to play it on , and my PC is an AMD64x2 6400+ 3.2ghz, 4gigs of ram, Radeon HD 3870, lanparty board, etc. Sooo I'm hoping it looks decent on both, most excited to play it on the big screen though
Yeah your PC is pretty much over kill for this game. You can run it on max settings the only problem is if you turn up the resolution too high you might not be able to read the menus lol. The cool thing is you should be able to use all the shading and weather effects which are great. This game might be 6 years old but is some aspects i think it looks better then a lot of the newer MMOs out there but still its 6 years old.
Well no where in my town had the 360 or PC version, so I had to order it online =/. Ah the suspense of waiting for shipping ><. Oh well, it'll be worth it.
I'm not sure if I will be returning to FFXI since the last time I had hard time finding a party to play with and because of lvl restriction for party experience it's harder to play with your friend who higher lvl than you. Because I'm more of a solo player there's not much room for me to play here. But maybe in near future I will pick up again and hopefully they update some feature to be more players friendly. It's a game after all and we wouldn't want it to take over our life.
