how does age of conan play on your mid range system ?

i have a pentium core duo 2.8 ghz  , nvidea 8800 gts video card and 4 gb ram  pc  running on windows xp . i would say that qualifies it as a mid range pc these days . its also well above the required specs . i would be interested to see how well age of conan runs for those of you with similar mid range machine . even after the latest patch i m still having lots of performance issues . yes i ve defragged , turned off all ofther programs running in the background , fiddled with the in game graphics options , made sure my graphics card is running properly and got the latest drivers  .i still cant play the game well enough for my liking  even on the low settings . i m playing a lot of new games like stalker on maximum settings so there is nt anything wrong with my rig .

also i ve several friends reporting similar issues . i know plenty in these forums are saying it runs well but most seam to be playing on high spec gaming machines . which i guess is what you d expect in a gaming forum really .

dont get me wrong . i m not trolling i think conan looks like a great game . if only it ran well enough on my system to play it .

You shouldn't worry. You'll definately be able to play it on good settings with a good framerate.

AMD5200+ 2.7ghz,  8600gt 512mb,  4gb of ram 160gb HD and runs fine especially after patch am running on med settings at around 25-30 fps in tortage and 30+ elsewhere so yeah it seems to run good for me.

Todays patch helped me a TON.

    Duo intel 6320(1.86 Ghz)

    2 Gm ram vista 32

    8600 Gt 256 Mb ram.

Now i load a lot faster and i can run around in tortage with very little HD load and stalls.

Still play on low though because i play on 22" in 1650x1080 but getting FPS from 25-70 depending where i am in the game so all is good and it looks just fine on low.

Geforce 9600 gt, 3 gb ram 800mhz and core duo 3.0 playing on high settings without bloom AA and shadows getting upto 60 fps , never went down 25. This is however in White Sands so no clue how my fps will be in a super crowded city.

Ran fine on my system, swapped one of the 512 ram sticks with a 1gig and dropped in a 512mb 8600 vid card. Ran pretty damn good IMHO. Only ever crashed once, and never visually lagged due to strain on the system. Most of the time my issues was caused by the debugger in the background.

(edit, running on low settings, tried on medium settings but the debugger in the background was eating up to many system resources otherwise probably would've been good)

    P4 3000 (3600)

    2x GF6600gt 128mb

    2gb ram 800mhz

    SB X-Fi

    win xp

Actually more of a low than a mid range.

Playing on low with 3.5km visibility range. 20-40fps and sometimes freezes for a second or two while  loading textures.

Looks a bit worse than Oblivion doeson my PC.

Oh yeah, sound settings on maximum. At least i get to listen to how it should sound like :P

It is running very well for me on meduim after the patch.  Prior to that I could run it but only on low settings with a very limited viewing distance.  So limited I found myself running up on mobs before I could see them.

    AMD 4000+ 2.4Ghz

    EVGA 8800 GTS 640meg SC

    3 gigs memory

    32" HD TV

I havn't had the crashing mid game that others have experienced.  Both the client and their servers have been very stable for me.

Running the PvP open beta at 40-50 fps on high settings on:

    C2D 6750
    Radeon 3850 256 MB
    4 GB RAM
    Vista 64

I'm on 1100something x 800something resolution though, most modern TFT screens go considerably higher.
