I've looked around and couldn't find this answer. When you die and release, you leave behind a spirit shard that only you can see, however, are there any in game tools for locating that shard after death? Like let's say I am playing on a Tuesday night (i.e. work night) and I'm in the middle of nowhere hunting... then I die so I decide to just call it a night. When I login the next day, do I need to guesstimate where I died and just run around looking for my shard?
I remember that scenario with Asheron's Call and corpses and it being a super PITA to locate a corpse sometimes.
Fact: In the United States, 4% of all children are born with a heart defect.
Fact: Only 1% of those has Ebstein's Anomaly.
Fact: My daughter is in that 1%.

There's a waypoint system in the game much like int he first one, the mystical wispy looking trail which leads you to your target. You can use it to find your shard.

I played EQ 1 a long time ago for a very short period.. I didn't really get into it, but that's not stopping me from checking out EQ 2.
So, if I understand the system correctly, you'll have some kind of visible directional on the GUI or something that will aid you in the direction you need to head to get back to the location of that shard? How does that work if you have multiple shards? (I usually have a problem with dying alot )
Thanks!
It just does the path one at a time till you get em all.

I have played quite a few games with Kunou. If they let him play EQ2 for even 5 minutes i am sure he had a half dozen corpses.
First thing he does with any game is MASTER death. Then the rest comes easy.

LMAO
You know me too well...
When asked about it in the "Game Room" I told them that I was helping test things, said that I wanted to make absolute sure that every mob on Newb Island had the ability to kill me. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss much, and for the record, all the mobs on Newb Island can infact kill you.

hehe dont worry Kunou, I have that whole death problem too That was very nice of you to throughly test their game for them.
In AC1, about 2ish years ago, they decided to implement a little command that 'pinged' your last corpse, and told you its coordinates. It was very useful, up until then there was a lot running about searching for it. "No I swear I died over here!!!". It was never where you thought it was. I guess the AC1 devs decided letting you know where all of you corpses were would just be too helpful.
