Redo of Game list and hypes? (Poll)

I went through and founf multiple games that are not even in producation anymore our just suck so bad they dont even deserve to be on this site.

2nd the Hype meters are way there are many games that are great but have like a 6.1....and the top game only has like 8.3! What the heck! Cant even get 2 9

Possibly only have the meter go from 3-9.5 in order to prvent the 1 our 10's our just filter those numbers.....

Does anyone agree they need to have a major hype and game wipe to make mmorpg.com better!

Couldn't vote because to re-do the entire site is probably just too much.  However, there should be updates - elimination of games not released/development dropped, original game vs expansions should be differentiated [if they already aren't], and games with episodic updates [like COH/COV, LOTRO, DDO, Eve...] should have an updated review at least yearly.  There could be either release score vs present score or if they are really ambitious, yearly scores...

I'm not sure it really matters. It's not like they are taking up "precious room".

Or, they could list games that have a certain criteria fulfilled and they must have a certain amount of updates until the launch.

I'd vote in your poll, but both options are a little extreme.

Yes, there are some games which aren't in production and should as a result be removed. I do not, however, agree with wiping scores at all. Thousands of votes have been counted and represent the opinions of the users of this site. You may think that a game deserves more, but other may not. That's exactly the point of the voting system.

So as I said, by removing a few games, adding some more and making sure all of the facts are updated (such as subscription models etc.), the list would be much better. It's nowhere near bad, it could just use some cleaning up.

Its always tough to keep up with all the changes of an entire industry, but I agree, redoing the game list is a plus. I noted that they did change Horizons to Istaria already.

As for the hype meter, I think that kind of code is for the most part useless, due to ballot stuffing
