Looking for ideas on which on to go with. I'm using Athlon 64 3700 plus. I'm looking at spending between $100-150

What's your cpu socket type? You might not be able to upgrade since your motherboard might have a cpu socket that is no longer used.

Hmm, You could get a AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ I believe for around that price.

but the better choice I think for you would be is get a budget LGA775 Motherboard ($70) 1GB DDR2 ($25) and an Intel E2180 ($80) SO thats about $200 for a way better system. And you can Overclock that E2180 to 3.2Ghz easy on stock.

I agree, you should get a new motherboard. However, I'm getting a Phenom 9850 next...spend $50 for a quad core!
