Hello friends,
I was wondering if you can solo your way through this game or is it all about guilds?
As a game player for many years starting with EQ1, WoW, and now EQ2, I can solo most of the game from beginning to end. I want to look into Aion as it appears to be the next big deal. But if I can't solo (work hours vary), then I will stay with EQ2.
Thanks,
Thorrax

It is largely group based. However, certain classes can solo from about level 18 on wards. This is according to some beta players who answered questions at www.aionsource.com
Ballistic!
This game can't be soloed entirely, meaning that you will need the help of your legion/friends in order to accomplish everything there is. You will probably be able to reach top level soloing, but that's the beggining.
I should add that there are certain quests that can be completed in small sessions, casual PvP with rifts and solo PvE content, but grouping will make things faster, obviously.
No, I don't know if there is an mmorpg where you can solo the whole game without any problems. If you are looking for a game that has the mmorpg feel try playing the witcher. It has a nice 3rd person view like an mmorpg stats and hp bar in the top left and extremely beautiful graphics with EAX support to bring out the experience. Here is a photo the first link really shows off some of the graphic potential http://news.filefront.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/witcher.jpg
while this one shows the mmorpg feel to it with all the skill trees http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images/2007/308/reviews/915112_20071105_screen003.jpg
There is also alchemy and hundreds of hours to spend on quests alone. Sorry, if I got carried away.
Doubt it....not fully anyway.
Most players start to team up around level 20. Thus you'll most likely be able to solo from level 1 till 20.
After that monsters become tougher.
I also heard the Spiritmaster is the best solo class (CBT2)
Eaglix
well, u should be able to solo till max level, u always can do that, however, without grouping, i reckon your char will be very weak compared to the rest, which makes sense.
You will be able to solo for most of it. Plus the fact that This game you can become a hero which means if you have enough time you could crush an entire group by yourself.
I would definatly try this game out if i were you
just dont expect the same theory as in wow "oh im a casual, and because i cant be arsed to play more than 30 minutes per day, i demand to have same oportunities".
That's one of the things that killed WoW for me, even tough, i cant play it that much right now. MMORPG's are normally "time sink's", so i would say, if u dont have the time or will to play a true MMORPG, dont expect much progress.
If u have time, but your game times are disfunctional, i reckon u can play it normally, there will be another ppl like u remenber
about only 1/4 is group most of the content is solo.
