Circuit City HD-DVD 50% off sale?

http://twenzor.org/cheapassgamer.com/HDDVD.txt

I've been hearing rumours that Circuit City will be selling all their remaining HD-DVD's at 50% off.  If this true and if so when does the sale start?

I'd rather buy a HD-DVD for $10 then have to pay $20+ to get it in Blu-Ray.

you can buy old movies like that. Anything that is new will be Blu-Ray only. (well later this year)

Hell, I'll give him that betamax player sitting in the back of my garage I bought the week before VHS came out so he can enjoy some great '80s movies.

The only problem with that, HD-DVD is done. No new movies are gonna come out on HD-DVD.

edit: Just totally saw someone else say the same thing as me :S

  • HD-DVD players can be picked up cheap.  I have to have two players anyways.  One for Blu-Ray and another for DVD's.  So if i can get a HD movie for $10 VS $20+  I dont care if its in HD-DVD format.

I still buy vinyls in lieu of cds when they are available. It sounds better, and album art and packaging is still leaps and bounds better than cds.

Ill agree to nostalgia for somethings. I own Jazz records on vinyl.

but nostalgia is not a use.
