As the topic says .... maybe the game will rise out of the ashes.

Jolt Online Gaming lets hope these guys can do it right.

    Turf Battles died the way I excepted - vanishing over night. The company "HyperEngines LLC" was a hoax and never existed, the real  name was "Turf Battles LLC" refering to a garage company somewhere in a housing area of LA. Server was located at "onestop.net" - datacenter residing in LA too.

    The owner (former head GM at Knights Online, cant remember the name) and some freelancer GMs was the entire game staff. They never had any development powers, all they did was editing some configs.

    This "game staff" never was in deep contact with the developers of the original game called "Sephiroth" in Korea (http://www.sephiroth.co.kr). All they had was a (licensed) stoneage version of the game without any significant updates to it.

    Since 2006 this hoax company was promising updates to the players to keep them playing and earning cash. One reason: there was character trading allowed by trading TurfCash. Potential players had to invest their money into TurfCash first and the hoax company earned tons of money for the work of their gamers. Countless characters got traded for 100s of dollars - imagine the income.

    Today it seems that the registered company "Turf Battles LLC" got dissolved because the income dropped below the server expenses. The game died without a single word of the makers - so despicable.

    If anyone would revive this game he need to contact the original license holder IMAZIC (http://www.imazic.com/)

    Hmm ... looks like your right ... I did get miss lead by that.

     

    Ohh well ... the game will get consumed by the ashes then.

     

    Can't believe that ppl are still playing on the servers ... talk about not wanting to let it die.

    I've been playing since "beta" zzz sad to see the game go lol, really love it.

     

    Some ppl are still paying USD for gear from other players lol.
