There is no 3d any more, the option was disabled right before they came out w/KR. I still play 2d mainly, but KR is becoming more promising each time they patch it. I do like KR for certain things, but it's still functioning they way I'd like to see like 2d with UO Assist does but it's getting there. For people who are used to playing games with hot bars and such (like WoW) and haven't ever played the 2d client I'd probably recommend they try KR.
I agree with jackie about the KR client, use it if your used to WoW type clients, 2d is alot more click, drop and drag intensive.
