Can this game be fun?

in Lineage 2

Hi

Me and my girlfriend are currently playing World of Warcraft and it's fun...

But trying something new is never bad, I guess?

 

So is Lineage 2 any good? Or just depressive?... My girlfriend think the Lineage 2 character looks good, but is that all?

 

I'm very sorry I cannot find any trial keys for us, so is hard to know...

 

I also read ALOT BAD stuff Like server full of BOTS! What is fun of that?

So hard to pick any server too, wanna meet people and talk you know...

Don't want to feel like playing single player game...

    This game is very fun. It is also so different from WoW as to be night and day. Hard grind, open pvp, hard money grind, clan and alliance mean everything.

     

    It is essentially a sandbox pvp game where the game is actually taking place in the politics and interactions with the players.

    It is not for everyone. I mean it.

    Tell me something that is fun at lower levels?

    What can be fun for two people playing together in the beginning?

    I don't know who you are so I can't really tell what you would find "fun".

    at lower lvls you will grind to lvl 20, do your first class change, go to the town of Dion, grind more while finding groups, looking for people and joining a clan/alliance.

    This game is about clan and alliance. They aren't just a glorified chat room. They actually mean something.

    Quite frankly, unless you are driven, like pvp and don't mind grind I think the game won't appeal to you. I can't say where one would download or purchase it, others will have to help with that. You can purchase it through NC Soft's main lineage 2 site but that might be more expensive than other places. don't know. Direct2Drive used to have a download of it.

    You should go to the main site, check out the forums, the videos, library, etc. Get to know the game first. If you really liked wow and want a game that is similar, this game is just not for you. You have to be  willing to change your paradigm or allow for something that takes quite a lot of effort. I don't mean to dissuade you from playing but I think it's important you know what you are getting yourself into.

    This game is what you make of it. Do you want to start a clan/alliance and try to take the castles? Then you do it. Do you want to make a small but good pvp clan and rent your services out to larger alliances? Do it. Infamous pk'er? you do it.

    Crafter of high lvl weapons or supplier of mats? Do it. Lead Raids against some of the largest Dragons to be found in a game? Taking sometimes a few hundred people and several hours? you do it or die trying.

    You my friend, are scaring me. You seem like a guy who is recruting someone to the army to go kill people in some other distand country and you are first trying to warn me because it might get me killed and even worse!

    Now as I read it again, the ending was much better... Now I feel better

    And my download is at 77% just one gigabite left. Or so...

     

    But yet, I do not know what server (european) to pick, hm... *checking my other thread hope for awnser*

    Graphics and Sound are quite apealing though you have to get used to it. I guess you will be disapointen when you just left WoW.  Gameplay is mean, it really scared me. Leveling isn't as easy as in the other games because you have massive xp loss when you die. I quit it after my 30 days Trial because Vanguard came out. Yet I haven't returned.

    go Teon if your euro, Franz is the newest server and a euro server to but not a good choice.

    and yes this game has bot's if you search a few off the other post's here, you can make up your own mind if you want to belive in it or not
