Anyone know Maynard James project(s)- appreciation thread

This man changed my life back in 98, when i first listened and began to dissect his lyrics- I had some personal issues going on and man, lifted me right out of it.

 

He has another band project going on?

    yes. bought the APC stuff. thought i heard about another band project he had.  he also has other things like vineyards and some wine he'll be selling sometime.

    Puscifer is the only other project I know of.

    Aye, Puscifer, APC, and TOOL are all i know of. I wouldn't be surprissed if theres more.

    Annihilation is definately one of my fav songs. (Not counting Imagine, they didn't write it... but thats ONE HELL OF A COVER)

    Tapeworm is a old project of his i also just saw some stuff about...

    PUSCIFER was a huge let down to me... I LOVED their song "Puscifer Rev 22:20"... but their album 'V is for Vagina' pretty much sucked in my opinion which is sad.

    V is for Vagina was a bit of a letdown for me, too.  Rev 22:20 and The Undertaker were great songs. MJK actually used his voice, the lyrics were good, and the beats kept my attention. Then V is for Vagina came out with a bunch of songs that featured elementary instrumentals and singing reminiscent of 10,000 Days grumbling. The only redeeming quality of the album was Momma Sed, one of the only songs with some actual singing in it. This is actually one of my top 5 MJK songs. Dozo 3 is worth noting as well.

    I'm fine with experimentation from artists, but when my favorite voice in music doesn't sing, and instead grunts and growls over beats I could have made, it tends to be a bit of a letdown. Even the album versions of Rev and Undertaker sucked compared to the originals.

    The Undertaker part 2 is a great song.

    Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
