Too many horses? Sort of an odd thing to say, in my opinion, given that horses and horse-like creatures are pretty much the only creatures that make much sense to ride, not just in our world but in Warhammer and in other works of fantasy. I have never been one to fancy riding things like wolves and the like - perhaps my sense of reality cannot get over the fact that their bone structure and musculature could not support a rider. :P

At any rate, not every game can feature players riding things like robotic chickens and raptors. It is an entirely different fantasy setting.

I wanna sit on my chariot with my orc slaves pulling me along because it seems like something i'd do as a empire player.

Its a fantasy game... With Fantasy included..

Its Realistic to see horses, dont look to shabby or bad.. im just saying i want to see something more than just horses in the games, Well Raptors/dragons, mix em to landwalking dragon sort of.. There is some Raptor/dragon thing from The Table Warhammer that would seem to fit quite well.. But also some wagons and stuff like that.. Horse with wagon? Might be to big though..

Well im sure they can come up with a bunch of ideas if they want to..

They're going by the IP for mounts....dunno whats so wrong with that...I mean chaos don't use technology like dwarves, humans could possibly have chariots in the future but they'd stil be pulled by horses, and elves I mean what else are they supposed to ride? Unicorns?  Orcs & Greenskins are pretty damn scary looking I doubt any horse like creature that isn't vicious and scary would suit their tastes.

I don't see whats so boring about using mounts that are from the IP...its one thing to tweak a class in order to make it playable for a game but to flat out change the look to the game by creating mounts people don't see in the table top just....its not Warhammer!  Atleast the Dwarves unique mounts make sense..to stick a empiral say on a lizard or some sort of vehicle just wouldn't make sense.

    goblins miniatures on mounts

    http://oz.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/orcs/painting/goblins/1.htm

orcs on mounts & chariots (maybe they'll ad em in later or somethin!)

    empire mounted

    http://oz.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/empire/painting/knights/gallery/default.htm

dwarves don't techincally have mounts they have war machines..and since there is no mounted combat they obviously got a unique creation (hopefully a few more too).

Dark Elves I suspect we'll be seeing something like this

or this (but hopefully the previous)

    chaos mounts

    high elves

Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

The point is that it is Warhammer fantasy, not just a random mish-mash of fantasy.

Go look at the Warhammer armies and tell me how many non-hero units ride magnificent things - typically, they do not. Usually things like griffins, dragons, wyverns, etc. are reserved for the leaders/champions of the armies and are exceedingly rare.

The rest of the mounts are almost always horses, or chariots pulled by horses, or something like that. Wolves come up with Greenskins (and spiders, too), but save for a few other scattered examples, that is about it.

I repeat, this is not like WoW where each race has some totally unique mount pulled out of thin air - Blizzard made their own lore and added these things mostly as they went.

Orcs are rather lacking upstairs, so I suppose if you had a meaty carrot on a stick they would be adequate "buff-two-legged-green-chariot-horse-orcs."

Of course, you would have to feed them more often.

Who would want to be pulled by orcs? they're butt ugly! A horse is honorable, and an ale fueled machine is good for a few laughs, boars are almost as ugly as orcs so it works, but a orc pulling a chariot? Im pretty sure id kill a dwarf and drive around. Also the horse look amazing, who wouldn't wanna ride taht, lol
