New player dwarf help!

nonesuch2nonesuch2 Member Posts: 8

Hey,

I recently started playing again after playing for a bit 2-3 years ago, where i only had a level 16 elf, i am 14 dwarf now. So this time i'm making a dwarf, but I had some questions...

1.I understand that artisans make more money based on working the economy rather than hunting, so if i'm decent or better can I make good money that way?

2. At mid-high level sieges are warsmiths needed for their siege weapons? will a guild need a dwarf for crafting/siege weps or am I junk to them?

3. If I subclass when I get to the level required to a dps class, or a bounty hunter to collect my own mats, will I be decently self-sufficient/be reasonably more needed/balanced?

4. And lastly how populated are dwarves, are crafters needed or is our aoe needed at higher levels  or are we a dime a dozen?

I'm pretty dead-set on being a warrior crafter, because I don't wanna be only grinding all the time, but sitll interested in what people think, plus i like playing classes that aren't extremely common, i'm a dwarf male

thanks a bunch, and if anyone else has some other tips for me, guides etc. I would be very appreciative =)

once you get high lvl you can earn good money but in the early lvl's when your under the 6x lvl's your pretty much just crafting soulshot's or spirtshout's and not earning that much.

unleass your 76 + i don't think a guild would want you to put out siege weapon's they probly have some other dwarf to do it.

bounty hunter's are pretty good at earning money when they out hunting, they also have a far better chance at getting party's then warsmith's, but you still need to buy some math's to get enof for crafting the good stuff.

on Teon they's enof crafter's maybe it depends on server but i would guess all server's has enof dwarf's you wont really earn great money with a warsmith unleass you get high lvl, they are also really bad party material.

The aoe just got a big nerf in this last patch it's still possiebel to do it just gotten harder, but i don't know how much people want dwarf's for aoe party's

i suggest you make a bounty hunter they earn pretty good money when they out hunting in the higher lvl's, they also far better party material then warsmith's.

you can still craft with a bounty hunter just use people's crafting shop's and you still earn a lot off money doing 100%/60% repice's but pretty much everything  A grade and over it's only 60% chance to succeed.

thanks a bunch, and if anyone else has some other tips for me, guides etc. I would be very appreciative =)

    What Sorrowho said.

Dwarves really are about making money so be prepared to "not" see "looking for Artisan for party/looking for Scavenger for party".

You will have to get to lvl 75 in order to sub so don't plan on that for a little while. Dwarves are hard to lvl... take a bit. So unless you love crafting, scavaenging for mats, you might want to do something else. Quite frankly, on Hindemith, I'm not sure if anyone even uses the dwarve's siege weapons. I mostly see the players just taking down the gates themselves.

In addition to the above advice.

You need a clan. You will not achieve any of your desire's without one esp as a Warsmith.

The Warsmiths are good for AoE melee parties as an additional DD. Get a pole arm as a priority after your 1hb.

Just about all siege efforts will be prioritised by the Siege Leader, by the level of available Warsmith, for a number of reasons.  The type of summons available, the ability of your Warsmith to withstand direct attack and have your summon affected by detrimental effects. Additionally the astronomical costs of summoning and maintaining siege golems are generally borne out of clan funds rather than the Warsmiths own pocket. This is something that will require trust of said Warsmith on part of the clan, since the quantities of crystals needed to summon and maintain a golem, siege cannon are very large. The implication here is that if you're new to the clan (even if you have a high enough Warsmith) don't expect ppl just just lavish their resources on you. Everything in L2 has to be earnt, trust included.

With respect to intra clan Warsmiths, you may find that with time and character slot/player availability most clans will tend to spread out their Warsmiths on a level/grade range. This is both to assist the spoilers in gaining the materials required for a specific grade as well as due to a limit in the number of recipe slots available in your book.

Whilst the random/alt toon dwarf population on the server is huge, there are not that many main character dwarfs running around.

You would probably find a niche in a small or midsized clan, but most large clans would have a structure in place and chances are they would have less requirement for another Warsmith. Having said that, depending on your dedication to the game and your ability to socialise, you may be accepted irrespective of class, since when you subclass you would be able to fill other class vacancies as required, or assume Clan Warsmith duties when the senior Warsmith switches to an event required subclass. This has been one of the biggest benefits of the subclass system. :)

well I started on Kain server as an dark elf ( class:Shillen Elder ) now I'm on lvl 61 and I have a bunch of adena around 247 000 000 000 + but that is on these new servers

on the older servers like Nightmare you could earn adena with a dwarf very easy like buffers and yes you need to make a clan and have about 40 members around lvl 65-75 to watch your back and that kind of staff , then you need a clan hall they are a bit expensive but that was nothing to me , try to make A-grade and S-grade stuff when you can then sell it for adena, and in the end buy stuff very cheap but sell the same stuff in another town very expensive but only in the beginning whale you are still a C-grader that is all I can help for now

The Dark Myth is substance without a hint of style, a huge uncarved rock of back story, kept pure of any human interference that might have produced a consumable piece of fiction.

i don't know if it's a good idea to just get a pole or you mean after he got a second weapon, cause i don't know what a hb is?

party's are already hard to form in the lower lvl's under the 6x lvl's and pole party's are even harder witch you might need for it to work since they nerfed poloing a lot in the last patch.

1hb = one handed blunt, and yes, the polearm would be a secondary weapon.

You will find it extremely difficult to get an out of clan AoE party. Esp one with an AoE spoiler... The changes to polearms did not affect proper AoE parties as they tended to rely on those classes which have the correct masteries. The recent change to VR coupled with long overdue adjustment to Frenzy simply corrected an existing imbalance which effectively replaced the tanks with heavy armour DDs for the purpose of tanking. The tanks had to endure a similar crisis during C2 when daggers in heavy armour were evasion tanking. Again the issue was corrected and tanks returned to their role. Coupled with the new adjustment to hate skills you should begin to see tanks taking on their in game role once again.

aah okay but none if your getting 2 weapon's you pretty much have to work the market to afford the 2 good weapon's...

hmm Ellyrion you forgot the pulling nerf :P, but its still possiebel for DD's to do it without tank's you pretty much just need to be buff stacked, and get some stun on the weapon

Lineage2 is not solo friendly. Gear is very expensive and money is very short. If i ever go back i'd prolly make a scarvenger to make money and craft stuff from the things i spoil. (hopefully)
