Does anyone know of such a place to download it (I'm not an idiot asking for an illegal/free download)? I only know of Direct2Drive, but they don't have the Battle Chest.

Considering the whole point of the Battle Chest is to have the strategy guide, manuals, guest pass, and catalog along with WoW and Burning Crusade, why would you download something for the same price to get less?
Just order it from Amazon: www.amazon.com/Blizzard-Entertainment-020626726191-Warcraft-Battlechest/dp/B000H96C9M/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2
Otherwise, just order the regular shit cheaper.
Wait, did you mean purchase the game? Just play the 10 day free trial and upgrade your account from there...
Good point, Zorvan. I didn't think of that. It is cheaper to get the battle chest because it's $40 instead of $19.99 for WoW and $29.99 for TBC. Unless you know of a good deal going on somewhere then I don't think the "regular shit" is cheaper unfortunately
at my wal-mart we have battlechest 39.99 and regular wow 19.98 and tbc 19.97 adds up after tax to be aorund the same

I wager you will be able to find the cheapest price locally. It does seem unusual that the download version is as much or more expensive as the retail version since you dont need any transportation or stock costs.
