Im looking to get a new power supply and grapgics card.
I have A - Dell xps 410, 375w power supply, 7300Le card
If i get an 8800 card, how much power will I need?
And which 8800 card is better?
All i have is the basic stuff, hard drive, dvd, moniter
For the power, how much is too much?
for the card is the 8800 the best bet or is there something new comming out soon?

I'm guessing your cpu is an Intel Pentium D? I recommend saving the money for a new rig because you won't get the full potential out of a 8800gt
8800gt or ATI 3870 should do you ok. Definitely want to up your power supply to at least a 480watt, though I'd probably go for around 550watt or so to be safe.
D.
There is never a thing as too much power since if you don't need the power, the power supply simply won't provide it. The only limiting factor is your checkbook. That being said, you can get by with a 450w power supply with the ATI HD3870/50. With an 8800GT you probably want a 480w supply since it consumes a little more power. If you get an 8800 GTX, or HD2900, then you want a 600w power supply.
However, the most important thing about a power supply is its quality. You will need to spend top dollar to get a good one. Like buying a 1000w supply for $10 might sound like a great deal, but it will probably catch on fire as many people who purchased a 1000w supply for $10 have noted. You want something at an 80+% effeciency, and has a 12v rail with atleast 18amps I think. Also you want to make sure you get a 6 pin pcie connector pin, or an 8 pin if your video card requires it.
