Servers Down?

in Starport: Galactic Empires

I am trying to log in, but I can not get past the "Looking for updates".  I then started the geclient, and after typing in my user name and password, it just sits there.  Is the system down?  For how Long?

    Never mind.  Figures, as soon as I leave a message, then try it lets me in......
