Chains of Promathia: What it isnt, what it is

FFXI was worth the money. Not worth the monthly fee (12.99 for one character, $1.00 per additional) but still worth the money. Here is what I read in GMR when they interviewed the guy who is working on COP:

-No permanent chocobos

-No new jobs

-No new races

-No new templates

-No new races

-The level cap will not be raised, SE said that they feel the level cap is high enough

-No PVP

-New lands

-New items

-New monsters

-New quests (probably the repetetive "Kill A monster get B item)

Square Enix promises everything that everything Chains of Promathia doesnt have, it will appear in future FFXI expansion packs. I'm not paying $30.00 for just new items, lands and monsters.

So whats the deal with the rumours of Blue mage, Mercenary, and Engineer? They coming out later or just rumours?

And yeah.. from the sounds of itthere is no point in buying chains of promethia if thats all it has to offer...

there are probly more stuff that will be added to it but they are not going to releace the information untill the releace date. so im just going to wait untill it comes out (meaning im not preoerdering it unless there is a promotion for it) and see what all new.

Talk about dragging out expansions... I mean they may aswell have one expansion for each new map if they are going to be that pettie with COP...

From what I hear its supposed to add alot of new areas, mostly lower levels. Which is great, because right now they are packed.

If its just that, then no, I wouldn't buy it, but I'm sure there will be something in CoP that will make me buy it.

Well all this game need is just new land and new items??? why do you need new characters? lol theres about 10+ different ones to choose from.

and PLEASE stop comparing Final Fantasty 11 to other games!! jeez..people give it a break..

Because some of the hardcore players already got most of those 10+ different ones maxed or very high level. That is why. ::::19::

hah, you all have to pay extra, but i get chains of promathia, along with rise of the zilart and the original game all for £25.

to bad i have to wait about 40 days for it ::::16::

the release date is back from august to about 21st.....

U are talking about UK release date yeah? Well it was gonna be in august but they pushed it back to when Chains of Promethia was released so they could do all at once.

I couldn't wait for it to get released out here.. I got some one to bring it back to me

I wish there were more UK players... I have met about 3 hehe, still what can u expect when the game isn't even out here yet...

i know a couple. my mate has it on import, he was gonna close his account but decided he'd see what its like when it gets released in europe.

i wonder if all the european newbies are gonna wreck the economy

the more i play this game the more i enjoy it atm.. just unlocked dark knight ability.. and man, i wish it was there from the start, but i do like being able to change from job to job, keeps the game interesting without having to play seperate chars...

er.. thats no relevance to what we were saying.. yeah i can't wait till its out here.. as i said my friends are gonna get the game, and i'm gonna save a few subjobs low lvl so i can lvl with them... i find mmorpgs so much better when u have people that u know in RL there...

/sigh so many characters to pick but so little time to lvl them... im currently war/nin and it kick ass with utsusemi.... im goign to try out PLD as soon as i get some help in the last part with LS
