Hey guys I stopped playing EvE about 6 months back and I am wondering if I should come back. If I did come back I wouldn't be starting from scratch. I have a 20 mil SP char, a fully T2 tempest, and a tricked out vagabond that goes like 7 KM/s (or it use to....not sure if it does with any new updates).
Anyway I am just wondering what has changed with EvE from 6 months ago until now. Anything cool come out? Also have they fixed the lag problems in fleet battles(doubt they have).
so what do u think? Is it worth me picking up again?

With the new expansion quite a lot has changed, i'd suggest picking up one month of EVE and see if you like what you see now.
Just watch out that the free trial isn't going to eat your boot.ini file...
As for if you should go back to EvE well thats a really objective thing really but i will say a lot has recently beena dded to eve so content wise there is some new stuff to see and do.

No way, you don't want to come back! Eve sucks!
Can I have your stuff?
join for a month and see. you are starting off at 20mil points so you can tell right away if you like the changes or not. what did you do in eve before you quit? mining, manufacture, pvp?
i'm kind of in the same boat as you. i just re-subscribed about a month ago because of the trinity patch and have a little time now. so if you want a corporation to join, look me up and we'll re-learn together.
allen miles is the name ingame.
@ devilishlydo: Ya wats ur in game name? I'll resubscribe and trade it all to u
@ Wargoo: When I played all I did was PvP cause I was in a merc corp. Hence the 7KM/S Vagabond . So did anything with PvP change?
I'm Devilish Ledoux (Get it? Devilishlydo / Devilish Ledoux!) and I'm already rich. But you konw what they say. There's no such thing as too rich.
Oh, and the 'new change' is called 'Hyena'. It's almost as tough as a Jaguar, almost as fast as an interceptor and it has a web range of up to 20km. It's your new worst nightmare. Or it will be when they're affordable by the average player.
I'd say it couldn't hurt to re-sub for 1 month just to see if the changes make it worth your while to come back.

I also quit about 6 months ago. I'm thinking about comeing back because of the new graphics (a sweet looking game + graphics upgrade gota = best looking space game ever). I have 2 characters, one miner and another combat character.
I used to do mission running but I allways wanted to try to get to 0.0 for some PvP. The 2 times I was in a corp that went out there were crappy experiences (mostly because the allience was in the procress of getting taken over so not the best place for a 0.0 noob to learn).
I had a good ammount of ISK and my Miner had a barge with T2 lazers and crystals.
I think I will wait till after my computer upgrade coming at the end of the month so I can dual box with the new client, currently I think I'll be lucky to run a single with the new graphics.
It seems like there trying to add more variety (maybe I should say possibilities) to PVP. I think the Juries still out on whether it's working, but I like the Idea anyway. The last few patch's have seen Jury rigging (3 additional ports that increase and decrease certain attributes when loaded), overdrive for selected modules (modules that overload for a period of time before becoming damaged), and now scripts which I think is a cross between the 2 (scripts are like ammo for modules that increase and decrease certain attributes). You can probably see how this could possibly lead to new ways of fitting a ship and attacking. It also could increase the likely hood your opponent will not be prepared for you. Like I said, In my mind the juries still out......but it could be cool.
I for one am thrilled with the advancments recently brought to the universe with patches and the recent expansion. My machine has never run EVE as well as it does now with the new art content and all.
