I'd put mine on the edge of a river, for the views as-well as the ship combat, If i was part of a guild i'd then build a ship-yard, and unleash hell!

    and just lists another feature of this game no one has ever seen working in any shape or form.

    I didn't vote any of your options. I'd put my house near the entrance to a popular area. Somewhere with a lot of foot traffic but not a 'protected' zone.

    This way my vendors would get a lot of foot traffic, and I could kill people in front of my house without having to worry about guards killing me.
