After the merge, how many servers now?

Out of curiosity, what is the server count now that they merged some?  Thanks.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

    • ? Mabar becomes Argonnessen
    • ? Fernia becomes Ghallanda
    • ? Lhazaar becomes Ghallanda
    • ? Aerenal becomes Sarlona
    • ? Adar becomes Sarlona
    • ? Aundair becomes Khyber
    • ? Riedra becomes Khyber
    • ? Xoriat becomes Thelanis
    • ? Tharashk becomes Thelanis

Believe it or not, many timres a server combine is a good thing for a MMORPG. The best thing for MMORPG is make sure people can find others

Thanks for the info.  I'm glad for the mergers.  At one time I just knew this game was gonna take a dent out of the WoW pie.  Just too bad that they used Eberon instead of Forgotten Realms.  I think that was a mistake on Turbine's part.  While it is nice to have a clean slate to work with, there is also something to be said when there is 25+ years worth of lore to fall back on.

Forgotten Realms would have been pimp for this game. So much more to work with than just Eberon. Not to mention the larger fan base.

    True enough. Forgotten Realms rocks!

Then again, I'm still hoping for a Dragonlance based game one of these days. I loved their world and story.

Well really they need to finish the game and stop stalling

    monk

    druid

    All the advanced class

Hundreds of playable races (if they added drow which are a monster race you can play why not others)

More content (really now just open up all those old modules and just put them straight into the game should not be to hard really i mean they got most of the work done for the designers and they could be adding like tons of quests quickly and easily)

    Higher lvls

The bottomline is the game is so unfinished its not offering the adventure the gaming comunity wants from a dungeons and dragons title

By advanced classes I am assuming you mean Prestige classes?

It looks like the route they are going with the prestige classes seems to be via the enhancement system. At first I was much against this but upon further reflection it might not be so bad. Considering there is a 3 class limit on multi-classing I already reroll enough without having to do it so I can qualify or have a class available for a prestige class I want.

Not too sure about the hundreds of playable races, that would make any MMO (come to think of it any RPG period) "unfinished" And Drow in 3.0 & 3.5 is actually a player race with a level adjustment, same as planetouched, ect..

Monk is coming hopefully soon, I hope druid not long after.

Level cap is going to 16 with mod 6.0 which is in development now.

If you don't powerlevel yourself through the same old tired quests/chains there is content there.

The best advice I have seen (I don't remember from who or I'd give em credit) is look at the game for what it has, not what you think it's missing from other MMO's or P&P. Easily the best combat system in an MMO that is out today. In my opinion the best character creation system in an MMO that is out today. The ease of being able to get on and not have to spend a good 2+ hours just to get something accomplished. Great dungeon design and layout. Nice graphics. Actually has a few storylines going on for the people that bother to actually read them, ect....

    My 2 cp worth.
