What is bad about being 40, many people act as if at 40 their life is over, but it only is if you want it to be. If you think that your best years are behind you then they are.
There was a survey about happiness and age, the happiest group, 65 and older, the least happy, 18 to 29. So in this respect you are just now getting into your happiest years. Congrats

My old physics teacher, who was about 30, had a similar problem. He looked like he was in his late 30's and his head of hair made him look like he was in his late 40's. I think it's because he used to live in Alaska which has a depressing climate for most of the year and because he had his doctorate's and still was struggling with physics to some extent. I can't imagine what it was like for him to get his degree. It must've been bloody heck though. One time he showed us a book he had to write for his degree, and it looked like it was over 1000 pages.

And here I thought is was the moderation...Well I am a little over 4 months from the big 30...it is pretty crazy when I think about it. I don't feel old though as I still beat people when I play basketball, baseball and I continue to lay down pwnage to 1337 kiddies in game.
