Totally new, what should I expect?

I like the way the graphics look now that Reborn has been released.

Are all of UO's previous expansion included with Kingdom Reborn?

Being totally new to UO, what should I expect?

Is there a specific RP server? How is the community?

Any pointers?

    Also, I am a bit confused, I have read things about freeshards, what are these and what other kind of shards are there?

    It's an orc costume you can wear. Yeah you should be able to find the 9th anniversary collection for super cheap (less than 20 bucks). It includes all seven expansion packs released thus far. It adds Elves, Ninjas, and Samurai, amongst a crapload of other content.

    you should expect the best experience ever dude!!! I still play and its one of the best mmo's out there! really its the one that got me started and i have a feeling that it will end me to if its still around!!!

    Freeshards are player run shards.

     

    There is no designated RP server with UO.

    If you use the trial then you have all except the last expansion, so basically for the first few weeks/months you don't need to upgrade yet.
