It is only soloable to about lvl 15 then the grouping is needed to progress any further i think for memory it is around 15 GBP per month and you get 1 character for that and it is an extra 1 GBP per additional character but to be honest with you i think 1 is enough as you can change class at anytime in game and begin to level a whole new class whilst still keeping the lvl and stats of the previous one and payment methods are standard credit card e.t.c this game does require of fair bit of your time but imo it is well worth it.you will need to have seperate accounts to play both at the same time but you can log in to the one account via either machine this game imo is one of only a few MMORPG's out there that truly live up to the name MMORPG.
thanks
1. Unfortunately FFXI takes quite a time commitment in order to properly advance, especially in the later levels. It is possible to solo, but unless the job you picked is meant to solo efficiently (i.e. Beastmaster, Black mage, Red mage or Blue Mage), you won't advance as much as you would unless you were in a party.
2. It's $13.00 for one character per month, plus an additional $1 for any other character you make.
3. You don't get charged for making a character, you get charged for having a character. As said above, for your initial character it's $13.00 a month plus an additional $1 for any other character you have and you can have up to sixteen characters per account.
4. Unlike most mmorpg's where you can purchase subscription packages (i.e. 1 month = $15, 3 months = $30 etc) FFXI is set at one payment method of $13 every month (though varies with how many extra characters you have). Your automatically charged every 30 days until you cancel. You can also pay via credit card/debit card or game card.
5. Yes and no. You can play on your account on both the Xbox 360 and PC , though if you're asking if you can purchase the windows setup discs and use them to setup the game on your Xbox 360 then no, you can't. In order to play FFXI for both PC and Xbox 360, you would need to purchase the setup discs for both PC and Xbox 360.
witch verson do you sugest i pick up if i do deside to play this the 360 one or the pc one? i will probley end up buying both down the road
If your PC is pretty high-end, I would suggest you go with the PC version. If not, I'd say go with Xbox 360. If your PC is high-end you could use the registry edit to pump out the graphics to max and get a better picture then you would on an Xbox 360.
