Slayer consists of a bunch of hacks, as Maynard would put it: "I see all of these bands like korn and slip bizkut or whatever, and I just think to myself...how can you even call that music?"

Slayer is real music.. plus they don't scream very much compared to alot of metal bands for it is thrash metal (if thats what you meant as far as real music goes)

i'll have to agree with you, i recently just bought vol 3: subliminal verses, by slipknot. I also listen to classic metal bands, the only thing i wouldnt call real music is rap, mainly mainstream rap but as a whole it must be put down.

Granted I like Tool and APC, but they don't seem to be the same kind of metal as Slayer, actually I would probably call them alternative rock, which is a broad category.
