I'm never going to see a beta invite now!
I wonder when they will be closing applications? At this rate they'll break 500,000 by the end of September.

I don't think they negotiate for funding, considering they are now EA Mythic, a part of EA.They are part of EA's funding. And even if they weren't beta apps aren't what they'd use to negotiate for funding.
A product's completion percentage would be the number one thing. Number 2 would be how well it's received by the public via trade shows.

At this rate WAR's beta is going to be bigger than WoW's beta, which was 500K or so if I remember correctly.
I wonder how many of those beta applications were made by people that have ten or more "siblings" who all happened to apply to the beta as well?

True, but it doesn't take much effort to make multiple e-mail addresses. And if you have enough friends with good computers and no interest in WAR, then you can borrow them for a bit. I noticed some people on those beta selling sites are offering 3 or more beta keys, so I'm guessing it's possible to cheat the system.Or maybe I'm just spiteful that I'm stuck on the outside looking in.
I dont think I will play War. But good luck all of you trying to enter the beta. I wish you all have fun and a free account.
Well I sure hope the ones that are sold get shut down. Serves em right! But yeah, I am sure their are dupes in that numebr but overall, the number cant be that far off I would think (maybe ~5%).
They shuold have a contest like guess how many beta apps they will have on September 5th... whoever gets closest without going over wins a beta key! It would be like the price is right!

Every beta i've been in i wish i never was cause when you have to reroll (character wipe after beta) i'm always bored replaying through the game again and normally never make it far.

How wonderful for WAR. How unfortunate for us who are waiting for a Beta invite. I've given up hope at this point, the odds are just not with me.
why sign up for beta if yur not gonna use it? You could have canceled or givin to a friend. or just want lots of attention/ issuses ?
There are many people waiting for a chance to try the game. At least give it to someone who will make good use of it. If you don't want to beta test the game, don't sign up for it.
So did I, and I believe under section A of the rules of conduct we signed to, that is all we can say!

Don't necessarily believe either, but doesn't matter. Someone getting a beta key for a game in no way affects me, nor should it of anyone else.
