It did look... odd, not just because it was a recording of a screen, it had a certain quaility that I can't really explain.

Special effects weren't really added yet. Sound wasn't cleaned up and optimized and I am assuming there will be some sort of music track for that scene. Looks ok.

I like Halo, but I wasn't impressed at that. Wasn't the movie pulled anyway? No one won't pick up the script, am I'm correct?

Halo looks crap and is sooo bland with such a bad storyline. So tbh the movie will be even worse and the fact that i have yet to watch one good movie based on a game.

i loved all mortal kombat movies.,.... and this halo movie will probaly be good if done right .... this is one scene 6+ months before the movie even comes out ..... it will get better.

It must be some simple test footage to determen the armour and basic designs.

remember halo was a book before it was a game....

How dull.. and who the f*ck was the camera man?! It's kinda hard to watch when the screen changes to birds-eye and various other stupid postitions every few seconds. Blech, why bother to see it? It'll end up on the Sci-Fi channel eventually. I'm wondering if they mispelled 'Uwe Boll' as 'Peter Jackson', because that movie looks like a cheesy Private Ryan knock off.
How much of this movie is based on the books?
Further more were those books not so obscure nobody knew what the hell they were? I never saw one book in the book stores I haunted not one. I read anything really.
Hell as of now this is news to me. From what I've seen of the halo books the writing is absolutely craptastic so perhaps they fit well with this movie.
Besides everyone who knows halo as "The novel series" please stand up.

Wait, since when did the books come out before the games? I distinctly rememember the game appearing before ever seeing the fall of reach... Although they did come out rather close to each other.
I really think these images were fake. Oh, how I hate saying "fake". But they didn't seem the real deal.
For one: What was the setting? What were they doing?
Secondly: There wasn't a single "big budget shot" in the scene which they always put in. With about a months work and some help I could recreate the whole thing.
Seems like an elaborate hoax of some paint-ballers.
Or the movie will really suck.

I would have thought any leaked footage would contain some kind of Spartan action. I'm very skeptical of this, maybe it's some kind of test footage or something.
And there have been decent video game films. I thought the first Mortal Kombat was spectacular for the genre, the second was pretty terrible. Even this movie could be worse...
...it could be Super Mario Brothers...
If this is legit footage, I doubt they're going to keep it like this. It's a video game movie, but I don't think they can fuck it up that bad.
The Halo movie is on hold, this is only a Halo 'short', as they are calling it. Not leaked footage from the actual movie. Nothing has been done thus far for the movie, as confirmed by Peter Jackson. He believes that it might get a green light after Halo 3 hits the shelves and the excitement builds around it - thus motivating the suits to move. So, no... these aren't the clips you are looking for *waves hand in front of your face*
