I downloaded the demo yesterday from Fileplanet...

    RUN AND HIDE

    Two Worlds is horrible.

First and foremost, the combat is absolutely unbelievably bad. You have to sit and hyper-click the left mouse button for melee attacks, and all it does is bring you through the same 4-5 swing animation sequence over, and over, and over until your target dies. No blocking/parrying like Oblivion, if it does happen it's automatic and I don't think there is even an animation. The "targeting" system is horrible. The game auto targets you onto whatever is in front of you, and you just hack and slash until it's dead. FIghting multiple enemies? You just hack and slash one till it's dead while the other beats on you, then it auto switches (which usually requires you to turn around like an idiot first) and then you just hack and slash away some more.

Spell combat was like Oblivion, point and shoot. I think the "targeting" system would lock on for your direct damage spells.

Chracter skill choices seemed really, really limited. As did stats, only 4 stats to tweak.

I don't know if the game gets any better as you go, it was only a demo, but from what I saw it was absolutely horrible.

Xbox 360 version (out later this week) may be better, and you can have up to 8 people together playing over XBL but... I'd wait to rent it out download a demo from XBL marketplace before I purchased if I were you.

From what I know, it was created by those who made the Diablo series. Upon hearing its release the other day I searched youtube and came to the conclusion it's not something I wish to try any time soon.

I had preordered the Collectors edition of Two worlds a couple of weeks ago. I also downloaded the demo a few days ago and boy am I glad I did. Reminds me of Gothic 3 which I found to be horrible. Needless to say im canceling my preorder. Ill be picking up Bioshock and Wild Arms 5 later this month instead.

Hopefully other people enjoy this game and like it better then I did..

but coming from a player who usually enjoys playing a Melee character, it was the absolutely worst melee combat system I've ever seen.

so, if you are planning on playing a caster, they game might be "better" for you as some of the spell effects they've showcased look pretty cool...

but either the engine is poorly optimized and there is a "Vanguard" effect or my PC isn't nearly as uber-ish as I thought it was

I know what you mean, it does look kind of similar though I'm a huge Gothic fan and I quite enjoyed Gothic 3 once you get past the few performance issues it has it's a decent game but let's not get off-topic now.
