I was thinking of trying the game again, but wanted to read the latest updates on what SOE has changed? Can someone point me to a link with the info?

Well there have been alot of changes and you did not specify what timeframe. This link will be the changes in the last 3 months:

The community manager starts a post at the bottom of that page in answer to 'what has changes since the last publish. It continues on the send page.
Theres also this page for the latest chapter and this one for previous ones.
