Online gaming and Wireless routers

I just recently purchased a supposedly fast wirleless router.

I bought it because I didnt want to run a cat5 cord across my linving room floor. Will this slow me down in online games or surfing the web. Right now my internet has record breaking speeds.::::17::

    Well, if your Net connection is 3MB (That is fast), and your router is 54MB, then you should have no problems.

    Actually I just ran a speedtest and it said 2.4 mb. I believe thats still pretty fast.
