I for one have never had a problem with pay-to-play games. I have played both p2p and f2p games and have found that on a whole... p2p games tend to have better overall content and better graphics... I for one am especially drawn to the graphics of a game. Graphics for me is what determins if I'm going to give the game a good hard look or a swift boot into the "garbage". IMO with today's hardware and software capabilities, there is no reason for a "crappy" looking game.

Far as content goes... I've never really found a f2p game that had "next level" or "elite level" content that left me feeling liek I actually accomplished something.

Real time money trading (RMT)? Well take Final Fantasy 11 Online... I played back i nthe days when there were very few NA speaking players. We never saw RMT during that time because the game was still fresh out of beta (I played the imported JP version). Over the next year and a half.. RMT populations BOOMED... things that were once 100,000 gil suddenly became 1,000,000 gil and etc. Now, Square Enix did something smart and took a proactive stance against RMT and now even have "task forces" to supplant the RMT and those Player Characters that engage in RMT activities. That's including if you are the one who is buying from RMT. You get cought... you get baned. They are even taking steps to block ip addresses of repeat offenders. So there is no more creating a character under a different credit card and new pro-id.

Monthly subscriptions can be a VERY good thing... but it is up to the Co. to use it the right way. The process of which may take a couple years. Such as in FFXI. But just because RMT are around... doesn't mean you have to partake in thir agenda.

Regarding the information I have been reading, and the visual evidence provided by aion sources. I would be preety surprised if this game wernt pay2play, especialy considering  the fact that ncsoft allready has pay2play titles why not add another to its Archives. its potentialy better than the linieage series evidently.
