You can make it go up by the number of posts you have and how often you visit the site. This does not include spam posts. If you get your posts deleted often you will have a low rank. But if your posts are helpful and good you will get more points for a higher rank. That is the easiest way I can explain it. Good Posts=higher rank, Bad Posts=low rank __Justin Hill
Noone will respect you more if you have an "Elite Member" next to your Name...
The rank is utterly meaningless, what counts is the Quality of your Posts, and only that. 10.000 stupid posts will surely get you the highest Rank, but 100 helpful, well written, polite Posts will get you respect and reputation among the community
(Also: Is there anything you can actually do with a higher Rank, that a lower Rank cannot do? I can't think of one thing)
