you gotta think of the genius behind Eve Online, no other mmorpg lets you benefit while not playing, and if you don't wanna play until you can fly a certain ship, then you still gotta pay to get that skill. If they have 170 K subscribers and only 30 K + are playing at any given time, then 140 K subscribers are paying and not playing....less bandwith, less lag, etc..... Of course its a casual game, and many people do other things besides just play Eve Online....... There is alot of money to be had in mmorpgs, especially with games that you pay to not play.......
Yep i quite agree here EvE was done very cleverly and its nice being able to pursue other hobbies and be with the loved ones rather than spendiong all my time playing eve. Dont get me wrong i like eve a lot but in the end compared to my family always gets second place as im sure its the case with you.
