any word on AoC open beta?

I assume it will come out in august'ish....anyone know of a projected date?

    They have been taking signups for a long time now... and they are packed with potential beta testers.

    I hope they start before August though.

    Well, technical closed beta started a 3weeks ago or something like that, I believe they will start general closed beta sometime in June or July... and for open beta I can see it maybe for 1month or 2 so I,d say end august or september.

    Open betas are very rarely 2-3 months long.

    With tech beta going now, I get the feeling that Closed beta will start around July, and run thru end of September. IF there is going to be an Open Beta (no guarantee of it happening) then I doubt it would start until begining of October, when most bugs are gone, and they are working more on server stability and loads.

    August is way to optimistic, expect the open beta in oct.

    yeah august is optimistic  thanks for the input guys..back to planetside for now until october.
