Thats what I've got set up right now. Just look for something with a PC input for starters. Anything you have to hook up with a special adapter is going to look like shit. Also pay attention to the TV's supported resolution.

I use a 26 inch tv as a monitor for my home computer.  It's pretty nice, althouhg you can't get the same kind of resolutions you get from a monitor.  Any new LCD TV will have a DVI port on it, so it's easy to hook up.

Is it true that hooking up your comp to a tv makes it look bad? I have a 27" and i was thinking of doing that.. I also think i have the graphics card to do it. A GeForce 8800GTX 756mb. Well not yet but soon.

If it's a newer tv it's most likely get a DVI port.  Using a TV isn't as sharp as using a monitor because the supported resolutions aren't as high.

My 27" LCD dose 1280x720 and my comp atm is set on 1024x768 and my comps res for me is fine. So if i hooked it up to my TV would it almost look the same?
