Looking for a F2P mmo game.

I am looking for a good F2P mmo that has a good low/mid lvl population still. So i am not playing catch up all the time. I am a big fan of fantasy games. I been looking in to a few like Rapplez, Voyage Century, Flyff and Scions of Fate. If any of these fit what i am looking for i would love to know. Also if there are any other games that fit what i am looking for i would graetly appreciate knowing about them.

    You're not going to find one. Every F2P MMO is either a long grind with lack of endgame content, a MMO fused with another genre such as a FPS with lacking features, or has item shops that allow people who are willing to spend money on the game to do so. If you were to look at any F2P MMO I would reccomend www.secondlife.com

    Now if you're willing to pay a bit of money a month I would check out Wurm Online - www.wurmonline.com. This game is very community driven, and the community has the ability to construct the entire game world themselves. You can play for free but it has a certain limit on the number of skills you can learn etc. This game is developed by an indie game company so the support you will recieve for errors and bugs is phenomenal, this is the developer's baby and they want to see it succeed. Graphics and sounds aren't phenomonal but if you can get past that aspect and appreciate the amazing gameply and potential for greatness then Wurmonline may just float your boat.

    I don't have the time to play Wurm, I wish I did. I would really like to play it but at the moment I can't sink into another MMO so I'm sticking to browser games and some Ultima Online here and there. Next best think on the horizon wil be Darkfall, whenever that hits beta, 2020 or whatever, that's where I'll be.

    Anyway hope I helped. I've been through all the F2P MMO's and found them all to be extremely lacking if you've ever played a full MMO such as UO, WoW, DAOC, AO.

    Oh, that's one game I forgot to mention that was free, Shadowbane. If you truly love PvP and don't mind getting ganked along the way to reaching the highest level, you might enjoy Shadowbane. Shadowbane can be extremely fun if you get into a halfway decent nation early on to teach you the ropes. I in fact just stopped playing Shadowbane last week, because of the time issue I mentioned above. If you want to get started in shadowbane hop over to www.shadowbane.com create an account and download the client there. Once in-game, make a character on the Mourning server, and contact sirsteven or anyone in the Dragonscale nation to give you a hand. This game can be extremely difficult to learn and I played it since beta so take my advice with a grain of salt, it's not for everyone.

    Jeez that post went on forever, sorry about that but sometimes I just get going  

    Anyway I hope this post helped, and I wish you luck on finding a decent MMO that can rule your life

    You should give Rappelz a try,  compared to other F2P mmorpgs it excels in most aspects.  Except for lag,  unless you have a higher end system you should expect a bit of lag especially in over-populated towns.   The greatest aspect of Rappelz would have to be the skill system,  it is easy to earn job points and level up your skills quickly there are also many many skills to choose from. 



    Some other F2P games I like are MapleStory, and Granado Espada.  Might want to check those out,  see if they are your style. ;)

    cabal online p2p but is changing to f2p next month. i havnt actually played it yet (waitin for next month) but it looks really cool. and bcoz it used to be p2p it might have a fairly low pop. check out the website http://www.cabalonline.com

    Hi, take a look at Last Chaos, it has a good comunity, with players who are willing to help newbies, theres a gardian system so you can have a  over lvl 20 player help you out  as you get to grips with the game, if you lvl to 20 in 10 days you get a good weapon, they have weekly events, and a good forum,there is an item mall, if you wont to spend $ but you can play just as well without. As with all f2p games it can get to be a grind at higher lvl's but the comunity is verry good so party quests can be a laugh.   We have Titans, mages, healers, sorcerer and rogue.

    Best F2P right now are:

    Metin 2 - Combat is awesome.

    Cabal - F2P next month, very good game.

    Rappelz - Solid game, lots to do, good stuff.

    Eudemons - Highly addictive, has some nice features in it.

    Once Perfect World online comes out, that will no doubt be the best F2P game around.

    Legend of Ares ,its been out quite awhile donno how i ever missed it. Very nice game  good quests,Nice skills and very cool gameplay. The grafx are sweet lotta fun check it out  if ya like. 2 factions  battle it out have guilds to join or make your own .The gears are very cool also . Think  people have overlooked it  .

    Any old free to play MMO will have a majority of it's players beyond the early levels. Best bet would be a newer game.

    Rohan Online's Open Beta starts tomorrow which means everyone in the game will be low level.

    The Open Beta for Requiem started a week and a half ago but it's having problems.

    There is no such thing as a f2p game they will always have a snag in that there will be a cash shop etc giving an advantage to players who actually pay. How else can they make money and fund the server after all this is a business not a chariety. That said the best one is Perfect world, One which should be in open beta soon is florensia which is more of a pirate style game finally if you don't mind sci fi games the I'd recommend anarchy online or rf online.

    Perfect world is over hyped, and it sucks.

     

    I really suggest shaiya. Decent community, great PvP, grind isn't that hard.

     

    If your system can handle it, then go play requiem or rohan(Coming out tomorrow), and Neo Steam
