    Jabba quit after the nge because noobs could solo his rancor and Boba Fett was nerfed. His house was marked abandoned and destroyed.

    Fresh from TC , new features in  chapter 6 :

    Actually, I thought of something as I was about to post this...

    Didn't Jabbas disappear for apparent reason before the news that the NGE was coming?

    That's true he did.  Apparently players that logged in there when it happened got screwed. One response to this was to kick players after logout from some NPC structures.  That sucked, because you could no longer log at say Jabbas palace at the end of your session and expect to still be there when you came back in game - I liked being able to do that.

    OMG I remember that!

    I remember running there as soon as I could to see if I could drop a merchant tent in place of the palace and name it "Jabba's Hut".
