Mourning: IGN Peek #26

IGN has posted the 26th installment of their "peek of the week" at Mourning.  Here is a snippet from the article:


The project also boasts a half-dozen races, plus sub-races that will appear as the game and its world, Krel, evolve. Characters will be able to advance via an extensive skill-based system encompassing combat, magic and trade. Of course, many types of weapons, armor and other equipment will be available, all brought to life by the proprietary Abyssal engine that incorporates sophisticated graphical effects, complex skeletal and morphing animations, advanced wind effects, and detail aplenty. With testing currently in progress and release seeming a matter of months away, the team agreed to tell is about its creation on a regular basis.

    I can't quite figure this think out from the limited information. It seems like just another EQ knock off with open PvP.

    The formula is so over done, they need something truly magical to set them apart... I haven't seen that yet. It might be in there..... somewhere.
