Sony to finally get it right with the Blu-Ray format??

I just came across an interesting article and it sure looks like the blu-ray format is doing MUCH better then I would have anticipated. Sales for Blu-Ray movies seem to be pretty strong, and I notice that there is actually a pretty big selection in the Blu-Ray formatted movies as well.

I know the PS3 is helping this, but after so many formats that Sony has introduced that have went thru the drain and caused Sony massive losses, is Blu-Ray here to stay??

    xbox 360 lol pay for online?  not as powerful as ps3 lolz amirite?

    ps3 haha for moneybagz and has no games amirite?

    On a side note...The Blue Ray thing..meh, I don't see it as being a big enough advantage over HD DVD's to really get enough people to buy a blue-ray player or  a ps3, I'm probably wrong, but it's certainly not something that looks worthwhile to me personaly.

    well i am certain that getting the hd-dvd for 360 is a fecking joke. Complain about the PS3 price all you want then when you buy the stupid hddvd you have paid the amount of a PS3.

    I don't care which format wins because i won't go with either. I didn't get into DVD format untill i got a DVD-RW so i could rip crap to it. Buying DVD movies and what not is a TOTAL waste when you can get it free just as easy

    I kinda cant afford one... but Id sure like one.

    To me the PS3 is a Blue Ray drive with bonus games.

    But at the same time, the biggest complaint I had with the PS3 is the machine really cant run a blue ray as well as it should be.
