He Calls Himself God

Now I have heard everything people.  You have got to be kidding me.

At first glance, the congregation gathered in a warehouse in Doral, Fla., seems like a typical Hispanic evangelical group. There's the 10-piece band, the singing and swaying, the whooping and hollering. But look a little more closely.

There's not a cross in sight. The lectern is emblazoned with a near replica of the U.S. presidential seal, except that it reads in Spanish, government of god on earth.

Off to the side stand three burly guys in dark suits with Secret Service-style earpieces. When a door by the stage opens, the guards leap into action. They surround the man with slicked-back hair who emerges and escort him to his seat. When the crowd spots him, it goes wild.

People chant, "Lord! Lord! Lord!" It quickly becomes clear that they're referring to him. "It's Jesus Christ himself!" a preacher onstage announces. "Let's welcome Jesus Christ Man!"

    I just dont understand how people can be so gullible.  They are just giving this guy their hard earned money too.

    Hmm, he went from claiming to be the reincarnation of John Paul, to claiming to be "integrated" with Jesus Christ, to revealing a newly tattooed "666" and claiming to be the antichrist.



    And people are still giving him and his organization millions





    Now I know what I've been doing wrong, time to rip out this pesky code of ethics thats been holding me back and go make money!

    Well people will always want something to believe in and its sad fools like  this are taken seriously by even a few people. Some people will believe almost anything if it is convienient for them as well and if it helps them cope with the uncertainty of existence they will believe anything that reinforces that no matter how absurdly illogical it is.

    This to me looks like a mini/light version of the Catholic church.



    1. This guy and the Pope act like God appointed them to be head of the church. Except this guy claimed to be God.

    2. This guy and the church both demonstrate their own interpretation of the bible scriptures.

    3. This guy and the Pope act like the supreme authority of their church.



    Then again, most religions that branch off christianity  are pretty much the same they just interpret and use certain scriptures and concepts as they see fit.

    Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

    sad but true...I heard about this guy quite some time ago...recently I even heard about a local church in which the pastor claims to have never sinned in his life.

     

    I just don't understand how anyone with knowledge of the Bible could buy into stuff like this, it's truly sad.

    Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

    I don't see how anyone could buy into stuff like this at all, even if they thought of the bible as a source of cheap toilet paper.

    well if your religion is correct then that pasture is a liar. And that guy can be a messiah if he gives them hope sp even though he isn't Jesus he is a savior in their eyes.

    My mind has changed so much. Yet I'm still acting like I'm the same.

    He's a liar if the faith is correct, he's a liar if the faith isn't correct...it really doesn't make a difference, he's a fraud, nothing more.
