Why when games are free does it make them good?

Archlord is the same game it was 2 months ago when you had to pay a monthly subscription fee to play it.

When players had to pay for it, they were putting realistic reviews of the game up - which is that the game is buggy, has poorly implemented pvp that discourages pvp and very poorly implemented pve that is mindnumbingly boring.

Now that's free, everyone is prasing what a great game it is.

How does making a game free improve it and make it better?

CM is claiming that subscription numbers are up because of the anticiaption of new content to make pvp interesting. (It still will not solve the problem of player bounties).

The reason subscription numbers are up is because the game is free, while they charged monthly subscription fees players were leaving in droves, the only sounds on servers - was the sounds of crickets. My whole guild left the game in December, and we were the top guild in the game.

The reason AL is now free is because they had ot make it free, or they would have lost even more players.  It was like rats leaving a sinking ship.

My review:

If you honestly are broke and have no money and like to waste your time playing a game - then AL was made just for you.

    better take Zigmunds review seriously. He has quit many months ago and he STILL is bashing the game over and over and over again. his dog probably didn't make it. Reviews? Oh, you mean those reviews made by people who played for 2 days?

    Simple, it wasnt worth the P2P price and it wasnt worthy of a P2P game just like SRO, Rappelz and Flyff arnt. It is worthy of buying the cheap box and playing free though, as a free game it stands far above the other F2P games and there is still life left in this game yet, the upgrade to EPISODE 2 will no doubt get the game re-reviewd and will no doubt be done alot better.

    Simple, now go troll some where else, you call us fanboys, well your a hater. Either way im no fanboy, i support the game based on how much i like it, i dont blindly say its the game of all games, because i know its not. I enjoy the game, many others who ahvnt played the game yet would.

    People didnt want to try it before I didn't play it until after it became f2p and I'm sure im not the only one. People judged the game before they got their hands on it. So people that questioned it(like myself) saw a perfect chance to try it out since I really have nothing to lose, cept 15 bucks.

    They mostly of the time tells you  - No shit but it was free and I couldnt resist    I mostly think for my self

    How those people can walk and breath in the same time is a miracle

    on a cynical note : it's must be a gift from god  lol

    Granado Espada is free and it's an excelent game worth a subscription, which was proved when the game started it was P2P and the subscriptions kept increasing, account's went mad when it went F2P just a couple months after release.



    Zera: Imperan Intrigue is another excelent game that has been F2P since the beggining.



    I read somewhere that they may be implementing a trial when EP 2 is released, but I won't be very surprised if in the following months Archlord become download and play.

    I already know about those games and i dont know why you directed this post towards me as it doesnt really have anything to do with what i said in that post, but anyways. I hope AL does become download and play, it would only increase its player base even more than going free has done already.
