  Yes I know that, I pre-ordered off D2D and the stupid shit won't work...............oh and I know where the support page is and it didn't help.

  They are patching right now..thats most likely why you cant get in.

  you could make sure you have updated video drivers, if your using windows firewall..make sure vanguard is unblocked, not just the launchpad(doubt thats it). try turning off all other unessary processes you have running, x-fire even if your using that. You probably have a conflict with something IMO.  Or the game just doesnt launch when the servers arent up. Other than that, i would contact customer service and cross ya fingers.

  In beta I had a similar problem. Make sure you update to the latest version of DirectX. There is a requirement in Vanguard for December 2006 update version of DirectX. That was what solved my problem.

  To get it, go to Windows Update center at Microsoft and allow it to update DirectX automatically.

  If you were able to get all updates and click play I would assume that you have an SoE account and entered your pre-order key.  If you did not you can go here:

  Other than that I think your problem is getting the latest Directx 9 drivers (December 2006).  You can get that here:
