I remember this game did adverts with the chance to win 1 million $  ...was this real ?

    hey man, i remeber that, it was in a flier when i bought ryl: path of the emporer, i think it was for that one. What became of it idk, the game closed down shortly after i bought it and started enjoying it lol.

    It was a scam from the beginning. Got canceled when they "discovered" bugs from beta that people used for cheating.
    (The press release was basically: Oh noes people cheat to win money we must stop & "investigate" , people cheated (exploited bugs) for xp what was to be expected when real cash was involved. The investigation is nowhere to be seen just like the so-called prize).

    RYL/RYL2 seems to live on other servers provided by another company, should be linked in some threads in this forum.
