wow, old thread from long ago, but anyways, I wouldn't want to be forum mod or anything else other then what I am here today. I enjoy the site and enjoy signing up for some of the beta's or contest. I don't believe you can do that if your part of the staff. If anyone knows differently, please do tell.

That depends, sometimes we get a couple staff accounts in addition to the accounts for the contest, but usually not enough for all the staff members, and sometimes we don't get any. And we're just SoL on the hardware contests. But we do what we do for the love of the community, you guys being happy and well informed is enough of a reward for us!

As to the comment of Not wanting to be a Mod or anything. I can only say " To each thier own". For the only reason being, I myself, am one that doesnt really go for those contests.. Yeah I have done 1 or 2.. but thats about it... When I do enter, I never win.. So just like the lottery.. I just stopped.
So for me being a Mod or other, would be a gift for me.

There is no harm participating in our contests, even if you have not won in the past. I mean why not? It's only a couple clicks away. If you lose, you lose nothing. If you win, you win something. Not bad eh?
