reccomendations

well finally broke down and got this for christmas. its really the only mmo i have never played. i am so bored with every other game right now and am looking for a polar opposite.. my question is this can anyone reccomend a perferred server for starting if i can get on it. i am kinda hesitant but it will be refreshing to play a game with a challenge again. thanks for any advice anyone might be able to give. also is there a decent fansite and forum other then official that i could take a look at
