Sorry Ryzom, Another Time Maybe?

I have had a very disappointing experience in trying to re-activate my SoR account.

First, I see that the password to access my profile cannot be reset anywhere, so I am stuck with the mnjypqprqiy type password that I got when I reset it.

Second, if I go to the ryzom homepage and try to access my account it will tell me that my account is invalid and offer the opportunity to reset my password.  I did this, got an email with a link to a page with a new password, and this new password page includes a link to access my profile.  So far as I can tell, and I have messed with this a lot yesterday and today, this link is the ONLY place that I can go to successfully log into my account.

Call it my peculiarity, call it whatever you want, I think I'm just being cautious, but until they can provide a place where I can login without requesting a new password every time I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to give out my credit card info.  I will NEVER do this unless I have  a good feeling that if/when I want to cancel my subscription.  I think what has happened with Horizons should serve as a lesson to us all, be vary wary of who you give your credit card info to.

I am fairly sure I am being overly cautious, but I would rather be overly cautious than overly ripped off.

When When Gameforge gets its act together and can provide a secure and easily usable means of handling account details, I will return,  but until then, I will sit on the sidelines.

    Try this one:

    https://secure.nevrax.com/payment_profile/?language=en

After Nevrax restyled their Ryzom homepage, the access to the payment profile was hidden fairly deep, indeed. Fortunately, it didn't change at all then.
