Not exactly mainstream but I love this song and is definetly my favorite: Un Monde Sans Danger. Yes i know its in a different language but its awsome give it a try. Its french btw. And no Im not french, Im Italian.  For those of you who care they have an english version. I emphasis version becuase its not a translation just a remake of the song with different words and in english. but ill post both links below. Give em a try.

Un Monde Sans Danger (french version)
    A world Without Danger(English Remake)

Dont be fooled, both videos use the same video but different songs. And anyone who is wondering these are the songs the show code lyoko took its theme song from and the video is spliced together episode footage.

Disturbed has the best lyrics of any metal band, by far...while other Metal bands are talking about nothing but how much everything sucks, Disturbed talks about something other than anger, and I like that about them.  Oh and let's not forget that Dave Draiman has a unique voice that you can actually understand, unlike most crappy metal bands like SlipKnot.

I'm not trying to make you like Disturbed, I'm trying to understand how you can be a metal fan, but not at least LIKE disturbed, even if you don't love them.

You're religeous, so I doubt you've listened to any more metal than that plays on MTV.
Disturbed is pussy metal, it's weak and pointless.

The local catholic priest knows more metal bands than I'd care to have dollars. Religion doesn't mean shit about what music you listen to...

As for Disturbed being pussy metal... I'm not a metal head, and i'm not doing the usual 'standing up for my bands while spitting on yours' thing, but I have to argue because you insult the music, rather than the band. Pussy metal doesn't exist. Pussy metal is hard rock, or rock, and it's perfectly valid in those genres. Calling it 'weak' is stupid without suggesting how it's weak, so I'm not even gonna bother with a retort there... 'Pointless' is what got me. I'd say it's got more purpose to it than the vast majority of metal bands, singing about dragons and warriors. Disturbed songs are almost all highly political, and that makes them more purposeful than most genres, because they actually seek to influence something... I'd love you to explain how they're pointless though, coz I can't really see what the hell you think you're talking about ^^

*In saying about the dragons and warriors thing, that doesn't make that music any less worthwhile (and I happen to love a load of bands that put out music just like that), it just makes it less purposeful and more recreational.

True metal is antichrist music, and you don't have to be a metal head like I am to know that.
Disturbed is MTV. They don't cuss, and they aren't hardcore.

I don't care whether you like them or not, but they aren't metal.

Your utter ignorance never ceases to amaze me...I honestly don't think that you have ever said anything on this forum that has even remotely resembled something intelligent.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

WOW, you totaly just made that up...some metal bands have anti religious sentiment, that doesn't mean that "true metal" has to be.

Disturbed is heavily comercialized because they are a good band. And yes they do cuss...not that it makes them any better as a band, but don't forget I'm religious so I don't know anything about metal, regardless, cussing doesn't bother me anyway.  And what you define as hardcore is your own business, I define slipknot as hardcore, but that doesn't mean that they are any good.

Kinda a "Bonnie and Clyde" story with one of the greatest lines of lyrics:
"Know how much I want to show you you're the only one
Like a bed of roses, there's a dozen reasons in this gun."

Je mettrai l'amour sur dos de moi.

I've been listening to alot of Ludwig Van lately. Great stuff.

And when im in the mood...or in a large crowd with friends...i show them some Decapitated Midget Fetus. Goregrind metal or just...Gurglemetal. Then everyone goes crazy. It's more like "wow how scary and gross can this sound lololol".

Listening to "Night On Bald Mountain" right now.

Every post that you make proves something to me...so whether you realize it or not, the ignorance of your posts does have a profound affect on how people percieve you.  I might be percieved as a wacko Jesus freak, but I would rather be percieved that way, than to be percieved as a punk kid with a rudimentary vocabulary and bad attitude.

And I'm not a fan of contemporary christian music...it bores me.

Absolutely. Strange at first, but by the end of it i was swept off my feet like a fairie in san francisco.

Excellent. And the fact that it's an older movie and its still great shows how solid it is.
