It has already begun! Its been going for about 3 months now
However, considering that your next question will be how to get in...
For now, its a closed beta, Funcom personell and certain unnamed professional testers are the only ones in it for now. They should be opening things up a bit before long though, sending invites to members of the AoC forum community, and those that have signed up to the official newsletter. Before launch, there is also likely to be an open beta for the purpose of stress testing.
