Some big company should buy this game out and develop it properly.

From the screenshots I have seen, it would be nice if some big name company would buy this game out and develop it properly. Those screenshots are awesome.

they would probably do better starting from scraches than starting with a ternished image and a very bad game...

the only thing really good about the game, is the big world without loading, and the ability to fly all over it,  Yeah If a company Who knows How to develop would buy the world engine and basic start it from scretchm since everything else is broken or sux in tht game, it would be nice.

Actually, I'm pretty sure even a large scale company couldn't provide enough content to make this a very fun game. The idea behind it is great, but to fill a world of THIS scale, you need an army of designers working 24/7 for 10 years to provide fun for enough players to populate the world.
Or pursue a well thought out crowd control concept.

    - like assigning proper population spots like in SWG, where you absolutely NEED to pass through (Starports, major cities or eq.) markets, passes, border stations.
    - make the environment have heavy impact on players. You cant just go climbing on a 8000 meter mountain for a daytrip or cross the desert in 10 minutes on a superfast dragon.
    - Align the quest and dungeon-density (include dungeons!) according to big npc cities, provide NPCs with detailed (!) information on how to get to the quest hotspots.

thats about it. The big problem with DnL after release, besides bugs and balancing issues, was the fact that everyone was scattered in a ultrahuge world. Concepts like "warp to event" were good starts, but people NEED to have real gathering spots.

_Pix_ developes VWorld tech.(Where you can fly above a big happy world where there is no loading anywhere!)

Farlan comes along and says "WE want the VWorld tech!" So they fabricate a bogus game with the help of the Delevopmentaly defunct company "NpCube"!

Pix descovers the farce and backs out!

Farlan is left holding a piece of crap game clinging onto an inovative piece of technology.(VWorld tech!)

Farlan wants to keep VWorld Tech for themselves so they string out the piece o' crap game until the rights of VWorld tech are established between Pix and his evil, former partner!

If I was ambitious enough, I'd make a game with that plot! It would probably sell millions!!!

Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

Actually there are a few more. One is a space based game, and I can't remember where I saw the other one, but I believe it was a Korean based fantasy MMO.

And yes, As much as I feel for _Pix_ and hope he wins his law suit, Please don't confuse Big World and VWorld. I had a nice long toalk with the Big World Server tech, and with a few other of their people, and they seem very nice and decent. Not at all like the liars from Farlan/NP3.

i was thinking the same thing, because on paper this sounded lke my ideal game..... only it is horrible the way they made it.

if someone else made a good version i would hail it

How many people have made the "ideal" game on paper??? The difference between Farlan and all those others that created the perfect game on paper is that Farlan lied and all the others just dreamed of the perfect game...

Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

If a large company with a real development staff biout this game it would still be 2-3 years away from being in release form.

They would have top pretty mych scrap the entuire game.  Throw out the awful combat stystem, UI, Crafting.  Actually everythinga nd rebuild from the ground up.  Teh graphics are already 5 years out of date.  By the time they oculd get this game in releaseable form the grpahics would be to dated.

It would be much better for them to just start from scratch.  But if they are going to start from scratch why even buy DnL.  There is nothing new or innovativbe there.

The only hope would be an independent underfunded devloper would buy it to speed up their development process similar to what Irth Online did with bguying Wish's assets.  But there is no way this game can ever be made into a real or quality MMO no matter who works on it.  Its dead.

I have not played the game, but those screenshots in the sticky post look better than any current game or any game in development.

Then perhaps you should delve further into the forums, because all the screenshots were doctored. As in Photoshopped.

Dont trust any photoshopped screenshots, i played it, and Everquest (yes, the first one) looks better.

    photoshopped :(
    man that is messed up

I originally thought that blacksac took the screenshots. Now I see the copyright thing at the bottom. So does anyone have any real screenshots of the game and that Vworld terrain?

I could provide you with real screenshots of DnL. But I prefer to provide you with real screenshots of "that" VWorldTerrain here:

    http://www.eingana.net/eingana2006/index2.htm

vieWTerra is making use of VWorldTerrain tech. You can test it if you want, since we've just started an alpha test of the engine provinding the entire Earth.

PS : these screenshots are not photoshopped, ask the community.
